About
I have designed this course to be used as you please. You may do lessons as often or as sporadically as you like. Some of the activities may require particular elements outdoors and may need to be glanced over or postponed until a future date. Many topics may become points of further interest and therefore, the reference list included with each lesson provides a list of resources to serve as “jumping points” for you to dig further into topics of your choice. Or, you can simply use these lessons as a basic overview of nutrition and healthy living.
The beauty of this design is its adaptability. Ecah lesson is intended to give a quick overview of a specific topic. This allows you to understand briefly from a quick overview of a topic, or be educated enough to go on into a more in-depth analysis – whichever you see fit. Furthermore, since the information is available at any time, you are free to return to and repeat the program as you wish. Your knowledge can continue to grow as you use the program time and time again!
Each lesson does build on previous lessons, to some degree however. So, the first time that you go through the program, it would be best to go through the lessons as they progress rather than skip around. Finally, I want to congratulate you for embarking on this journey to better health for yourself and your family.
Knowledge is power. Learn how to be healthy and be healthy!
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
I have always had a love for health. As a mother of four children and a home schooling parent, I am a natural educator. It was with much excitement that I embarked on a journey to write this program. I was inspired to write this program by family and friends who know me and share my love for nutrition and the desire to see more families living healthier lives. This program is a means to help teach children and young adults the importance of making healthful decisions throughout childhood and beyond.
After graduating from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, I decided to leave the workforce after just one year. As my husband and I were welcoming our first son into our arms, my future goal was (and still is) to educate my children in the comfort and safety of our home.
Shortly after the birth of our second child, it became apparent that his health was not optimum. Since that time, I have been on a quest to find the answers we needed to help him succeed in life. Most of what I’ve learned has been at the time and expense of my personal research – a devoted mother grasping for solutions. We have utilized many branches of alternative health care throughout the past eight years.
Today, our family of six is a beacon of light for health. We invite you to embark upon a journey to health with us!
